Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices that originated more than 5000 years ago in India. Yoga helps develop one’s inherent power in a balanced way and is a great tool to work on one’s flexibility and strength. Yoga instruction was started at VIA in 2015 well before it was made compulsory for the first year students in the 2017 syllabus by TNAU. Through Yoga, the club aims to help the students to maintain physical fitness, learn to de-stress from academic pressures and find internal peace to have clarity of thought.
